Review on SilverStone F1 Monaco S radar detector by Jasmit Singh ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, good quality, not bad.

I will never encourage you to breach the regulations, and when I go on long excursions to new regions, I always bring my radar detector with me for your protection. The Supra 77 had been of dependable use to me for a good number of years, but when I went to the ocean from the Hong Kong area for the first time in three years, I realized that I had just grown weary of the excessive number of false positives. It is correct that he did not carry even a single ticket with him, but I have made the decision to get a signature device before my next trip to the Crimea in 2022. Digma t1000 was initially purchased with a significant price reduction. Even when the evaluations were positive, he could squeal for at least half an hour straight without pausing. Ultimately, I took it back to the shop where I bought it. Eventually, after considering a number of other models and reading reviews and ratings, I chose this one. Unexpectedly, Silverstone turned out to be virtually an exact replica of Digma in terms of the whole identity of the options menu as well as the outside appearance of the program. On the very first trip I took to Hong Kong, in comparison to Supra, I saw a huge reduction in the number of false positives; nevertheless, I also noted that the detection range was frequently quite a bit narrower. I loved how it now explains that there are cameras in the back of the device. After I reflashed with a version that was shortened, the situation became a lot more bearable for me. Initially, lengthy informational messages were very frustrating to deal with. But, I was instantly frustrated by the fact that signature analysis only works in the mode of a single city, and that false positives continued to occur when the mode was set to Route. While I was riding in signature mode along the portion of the track where the locations of the radars were already known, I "missed" all of the tripods. In addition to this, the detection range of the cameras that are still operational has shrunk dramatically. In other words, using signature mode while driving on the highway is a highly risky thing to do. When I went to the beach, it didn't help me avoid making any more mistakes, so that's another false positive. I didn't carry a single fine, but on the other hand, I was sick of screeching at every interference, even when we were in an open field. One of the few bright spots is that when Auto mode is selected, the signature mode begins to function well in more crowded locations, and there are virtually no false positives. As a consequence of this, I came to the conclusion that the most effective course of action is to make use of a reliable app for a mobile device and to set the detector's safety net mode to Extra silent.

Pros
  • Concise, sufficiently informational, and generally effective in carrying out its purpose.
Cons
  • Incorrect positive results and reliability
