Better visibility than Puck/Puck LED road signals

Better visibility than Puck/Puck LED road signals. has been glowing puck style for 2-3 years. I personally haven't had to use them, but I gave 3-packs to my neighbors and they recently used them when moving house on a busy freeway. They reported that the Wagan FRED lights worked. Well just with magnetic feet to attach to the sides and rear of the car when other motorists were crossing the lane as they saw the lights flashing as they approached. I recently saw a list of these Twinkle Star LED Flares and got curious. about comparing the designs so I ordered a set (they appear to be the same design, sold under different names but look the same except for the tag. At the time of purchase this listing is Twinkle Star Revain for 2 pairs for Β£29 $.99 was almost half the price of other listings for 1 pair at around $25). Upon delivery I installed the batteries that came with it and both pairs worked with no issues. These torches are packaged in pairs, with 2 torches and 2 racks in their own hard case (this listing includes 2 cases of 4 torches). The covers are small enough to fit in the pockets behind the seats of many cars. There's a button to turn it on and switch modes (flashing red, solid red, solid white flashlight, off). I set up 1 pair of these and 1 pair of Wagan FRED lights in strobe mode on the pavement then walked down the street to see what was best seen from a distance. WINNER: A pair of Twinkle Star LED lights. They flash a bright red light, brighter and more visible from a distance than Wagan FRED lights, and the height is an advantage for visibility. The tips of these torches glow bright red, but like puck-style lights, they also illuminate the ground immediately around them. In general, they were much more visible from a distance than the Wagan FRED lights. Snowbelt: When it's snowing heavily and/or the ground has already accumulated snow, this design, where they extend 8" off the ground when placed on the included stands, is a definite visibility advantage over 2" washers . tall when planted on the ground. I'm not sure how weather/waterproof either construction is, but when placed on stands, the base of the torches are 1.7 inches off the ground, meaning the disc torches are mostly submerged. Point if standing water was a problem. There is also a fairly powerful magnet on the underside of these flashes (that's how they attach/fix to the posts) meaning you can attach them to the body or roof of a standard steel bodied stranded vehicle (not so much for a car naturally). fiber or aluminum exotics) or even use magnets to attach to metal railings and mile markers to add height etc. As I already have Wagan FRED headlights these will be on the road too but for now I'm getting a set of these these Twinkle Star LED Flares for all vehicles. If I had to choose between them, I would choose this one. PPE with ANY electronic device I consider important (depending on which inattentive drivers don't turn me into a street pizza), I highly recommend throwing away the included batteries and using the Energizer Lithium Ultimate AAA instead (each flash uses 3 AAA batteries ). Lithium Ultimates won't leak and render them unusable if needed, and Lithium Ultimates work down to -40f where alkaline ones don't work well below about 15f. Left in the car at 110+F to -14F for the last 3 years and still works well. cause Lithium Ultimate batteries to become fully discharged if left in.
