This is one of those tools that you think you won't need because you probably already have a wrench to get the job done. Well, let me tell you that a wrench unnecessarily complicates the job because a) it's too thick to sometimes engage the pedal properly, b) if it's not a big wrench it won't give you the proper leverage to turn unscrew the pedal, but if it's bigger it will definitely be too thick to fit in. c) The wrench slips off and you injure either the bike or your fingers.
