Review on ๐Ÿšค High-performance 12V LED Submersible Trailer Lights: Waterproof, Low-profile Rectangular Tail Lights for RVs, Marines, Boats & Trailers by Jim Ledbetter

You may need a mounting plate if your trailer doesn't already have one.

I used these on my boat trailer. My brake light has failed and I have found that the bulbs are in the housing and cannot be replaced so I need a whole new light. So I decided to switch to LEDs and noticed that you can buy a kit for $10. The wiring instructions were basic, but the installation instructions are outdated in directions. I realized this by looking at the old headlights. It is easier to first insert the screws into the headlights (according to the hole pattern on the trailer) and then mount them on the trailer. The instructions mention a mounting plate that can be purchased separately. Luckily my trailer had pre-drilled plates, otherwise I would have been so frustrated not knowing I needed an extra part. So the first headlight took about 30-40 minutes as the old headlights had rusty screws which I had to saw off the trailer and then figure out how to mount the new headlights to the trailer. But after the learning curve, the second light took me about ten minutes. They also proved to be waterproof. It's such a nice feeling (driving) to know that all my headlights are working!
