I have several outbuildings with plywood walls and/or roof - wood shelving, workshop etc. All of these have been covered with a good two coats of exterior paint when new and cleaned and repainted every three or four years. Pretty standard stuff. So far I've used a scraper to remove loose paint and dirt before applying fresh paint. I was hoping this rough little sanding block would cut down on the work. I'm not looking for perfection, just a fairly smooth surface. This sanding block did a really good job of removing loose paint quickly. What it doesn't do is that it lasts very long. By the time I finished the roofs of the two firewood racks (2.5ft by 8ft each), I had worn down the two main surfaces of the sponge to the point where they were practically unusable. I was disappointed. Let's get back to the scraper.
