Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The shell is made from beautifully textured walnut, polished smooth and works as it should to hold the yarn in place. Although there was a small rough spot inside, it didn't catch the yarn and didn't affect the use of the bowl. This purchase came in a lovely cloth pouch and everything was neatly and neatly packed in its box. This bowl has no odors like some shisam wood bowls. If you are looking for a wooden yarn bowl, I definitely recommend this one.
