Please note that your fan must have two screw holes on each corner, not one long screw hole. Usually you insert the long end into the screw hole, then grab the end and pull. As it stretches, the bump disappears. Do this with all four corners, then place the jar where you want it and pull the thicker short pieces through the body. The rubber rims create a good vibration barrier, and the whole thing acts like a rubber screw for extra dampening. Vibration.
