This 80 tooth knife cuts straight and precise. I often use MDF for hobby use, and I was amazed that I could barely hear the blade cutting through a 1/2" work piece and the resulting fresh edges were superior to the factory edges. has the disadvantage that a high ATB (variable bevel) leaves a small dot protruding from the center of the kerf, which isn't a problem for through cuts, but does significantly affect the aesthetics of fine joinery such as tenons or half circles. I guess I need a combination blade handy have for jobs that require flat bottom cuts.
