GREAT for long days on your feet! Also very cute!

This is my first time trying on compression stockings and they work great! I got a new job that got me going and I've been pounding on concrete all day. I wear danskos or abeos on my wide+high feet and soak epsom salts and/or use ice packs at night to ease some of the swelling pain but it wasn't enough. There are also no over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs or homeopathic remedies. I decided on compression stockings and found sockwells. They looked cute too, so I decided to give them a try. After two days of wearing sockwells at work, my pain decreased noticeably. In fact yesterday I had a foot injury that left a huge bruise on the tip of my toe which appears to have inflamed my plantar fascia. I didn't realize it until I got home and took off my socks. At this point my foot started to swell, bruise and have a sharp pain in the front of the plantar fascia on the little toes. The injury does not come from the sock. Fault! But they certainly helped ease the pain, so I didn't realize my injured leg until after work. Also, I am sitting here writing this, calling a few days after work while my foot swelling subsides, wearing socks and cooling/soaking my foot as directed by the doctor. I am very happy that I received five pairs. These are expensive socks, but they are very good at reducing swelling and are very cute! Black is beautiful and classic - good for work. Teal and Concord are really beautiful. The damask pattern is also very beautiful. Really impressed with the looks, fit and what appears to be a well made and durable sock. Regarding fit, I'm 5ft 6in, about 150lbs and wear 7.5 US women's shoes. The S/M size fits snug and well with no discomfort and a wonderful reduction in swelling in my legs - and apparently even my knees, which also often hurt at the end of the day these over-the-knee socks show they are not. I have black, concorde and turquoise socks and they all fit very decidedly BELOW MY KNEE and I have short legs! :-) Please see the attached picture (and please forget my horrible injured knee!). However, I love these socks and recommend you try them out if you have long days on your feet that cause sore swelling. Much luck! :-) UPDATE: 02/01/2016 I've been wearing these socks for a few months now and thought I'd update them to discuss the long term experience. Basically I love them. I don't wear them every day but when I do my feet and legs thank me so I use them on my feet on long days or when traveling as they also help when I'm sitting a lot. It was great on a long journey! Then anything that reduces fatigue is beneficial. :-) In addition, the socks are worn like a dream. They look almost new despite regular use and washing/drying as I previously described. The washable wool is fantastic and these socks are really durable, beautiful, functional and comfortable to wear. I ended up liking them so much that I bought my boyfriend a pair (men's version) to see if they would help when he was out taking city photos all day. He's kind of your typical guy who's hesitant to try compression stockings and is overwhelmed by the cost, even at Revain's prices. See? Typical Hanes 10 packs of white crew socks, dude! It took him weeks to try them but the day he did he was almost amazed at how great they were as he actually felt a difference in his legs with much less pain and swelling that was undeniably noticeable. He's careful with them - he's stricter on clothes and socks than me and he knows they're expensive - and he wants them to stay beautiful because he knows they WORK! Again, I hope this is helpful and that these socks work for you! Much luck!
