Review on ✂️ Wiha 56818 Precision Electronic Diagonal Cutters: Wide Pointed Head for Accurate Cuts by Young Toulson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Terrible ergonomics. The jaws only open 0.25 inch

They are well made and the reviews are good because they are solid metal. If you buy them, they will last a long time. Wiha screwdrivers are made of the hardest steel. I've never seen. But the ergonomics of these Wiha 56818s are just terrible. The grips are too slippery and don't have a good texture because they slip out of the hand. They're short and fat and hard to come by. I have a set of Klein flush cutters and they appear to be the exact same cutters, but the Kleins are $9.80 at the time of this writing and they have much better ergonomics. These Wiha are good quality but I am sending them back because they are so difficult to hold. I've used many wire cutters and these are the only wire cutters I've ever picked up that I immediately hated. The cutting edges are good, but the trailing edge closest to the handle makes no contact with the last 1/16 inch of the blades. The blades only touch the front 80% of the blades and do not touch the closest back parts. I tested them on the wire and they cut the wire the full length of the wire cutters. The Kleins don't have the same good fit and finish as the Wihas.
