Comfortable and durable blades.

This is a great pair of knives. I'm an audio video engineer and I use them every day. They have a very comfortable grip, cut well and appear to be sharp-edged.

These are the best pair of wire cutters I have ever owned

Seems like you spent a lot of money on wire cutters when you could have gotten them for a lot less but let me tell you that so is the best pair i have ever owned. I bought a few but the first pair went through hell and is still going strong.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Only available in black

Flush cutting pliers

A bit pricey for what you get but in actual performance it's completely different compared to Cooper. The handles are large enough for a comfortable grip and the cutting quality is high. Too expensive for a hobby. Too expensive to leave on the bank if you provide your own tools. I love these cookie cutters but will try something else solid. Not recommended for the first purchase.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Something different

Half broken on first use

Workload was rework circuit boards and the need to discard failed components and replace them with other values. No iron wire, no nails, no hard AWG 6 copper: just tiny component leads that had to be cut flush next to the board. The second resistor was 75K, 5W and when I tried to cut the wire one of them flew over the bank. It was already after the return so the money was down the drain.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Reliability

Seeking durability Wiha

I seem to go through cheap "port freight" cutters quickly. I need something that lasts a little longer. The Wiha version had some good reviews, so I went with it. They don't differ much from the regular versions, but the grips are thicker and more comfortable. The hinge makes a solid and reliable impression. If I use them after a few years, then I made the right decision. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • So far so good

Prominent side cutters made in Italy.

These side cutters are excellent and worth their price. From cutting wire to zip ties to thin ABS, they work great. The rubber/plastic grips are top notch. In my opinion, Wiha makes the best handles for any tool at any price. They're about double the price of the Crescent or Blue grip models you can get at specialty stores, but they easily double or triple the quality. If you use flush cutters a lot or just want a very high quality tool these are the ones you should buy and they are totally…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not everything fits

This seems to be the case when things get worse the more they cost

I sent the Knipex precision cutters back and got them instead because the Knipex tip actually broke when I tried to to cut the wire of a pair $5 wire cutters will cut without damage. On a similar occasion I tried to cut 14 gauge wire with it and although it did cut the blades went nicked. Now this is where it gets really weird. I was able to fix the nick in the blade simply by poking it with my nail. Oh yeah, I'm not exaggerating. I was only able to put the metal back in place with the tools…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance

Terrible ergonomics. The jaws only open 0.25 inch

They are well made and the reviews are good because they are solid metal. If you buy them, they will last a long time. Wiha screwdrivers are made of the hardest steel. I've never seen. But the ergonomics of these Wiha 56818s are just terrible. The grips are too slippery and don't have a good texture because they slip out of the hand. They're short and fat and hard to come by. I have a set of Klein flush cutters and they appear to be the exact same cutters, but the Kleins are $9.80 at the time…

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things

Better than Snap-On at half the price. 4 1/2 years

These are excellent side cutters. I've been a professional auto electrician for 18 years and a pair of good little wire cutters is a constant must. I've only used snap-ons for many years, but they're really overpriced, so I started looking for alternatives. I've used other Wiha tools in the past and the price was right so I went for it. At this point I have been using and abusing these clippers non-stop for about a year. They cut 16 gauge copper wire with ease. They also cut flush cable ties…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
