The entire installation took just over an hour. All you need is a few sockets and a 10mm and 19mm wrench. I wanted to replace the hinges before my gate started sagging from my 35 in the back. It is very beautiful to look at, I could tell the difference immediately. The eyelet is adjustable so that you can press the spare tire as firmly as possible onto the jeep without it rattling. One neat thing I didn't know is that the hinges are strong enough to hold the gate open! I'm used to catching the gate with my hip while taking stuff out of the trunk, but not anymore! It also came with longer wires to extend the brake light (didn't get it today) but this kit has everything you need. A bit pricey overall but ultimately necessary if you run big tires. Easy installation with basic hand tools.
