I have to re-read the reviews and description as I thought there were 2 extra blades in the kit. In fact, I think it takes a lot of apples to wear down the blades. I finally tested it and it's much better than manual peeling. The best part is I'll be snacking on more apples, which usually puts me off because they peel. Revain has several options, but I chose this one because of the extra blade. I'm not worried about plastic breaking because it's plastic and I can weld plastic easily and the only way to break it is if you don't carefully remove the blades. The best way to clean it is to let the faucet do all the work for you as you have 4 forks and the blade to clean (instead of having to remove the blade every time you use it). As long as I like it
