Review on D-Link DPR-1260 RangeBooster G Multifunction Print Server: Boost Your Range and Printing Efficiency by James Jenkins

Sturdy, reliable block

I like this block. I bought it over 1 1/2 years ago and it still works 24/7/365. As far as I remember, setting up the device wasn't that difficult. I connected the device directly to my computer via Ethernet to set up the device for the first time. After that, sailing on those WiFi waves was smooth. The web interface that D-Link uses is a familiar one that I have used on other D-Link products. I am using this device to provide wireless printing service to two USB printers. Samsung CLP-315 Color Laser Printer and Brother QL-570 Label Printer. Both printers work perfectly. However, the Samsung CLP-315 Control Panel doesn't really work in this configuration. (I'm assuming this requires two-way USB communication.) However, the Samsung CLP-315 printer driver works fine with the device. With Windows Vista I can print everything without any problems. The same applies to the Brother QL-570 printer driver; I can easily print PayPay invoices with this D-Link device. As a result, both printers are in a different room, out of sight, and don't bother my computer desk. Gotta love this minimalist look! I don't have a multifunction printer or dedicated scanner to try out the scanning capabilities of the D-Link device. The only catch is that I have an 802.11N network and this device only works on the 802.11G band.
