Review on Tigar Ultra High Performance 255/35 R19 96 Year by Boyan Dimitrov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is completely satisfied, performs its functions.

Auto Skoda Kodiak, size 235/55/18, braked at 5+ and strategized from a stop a few times to avoid collisions; the ABS was not operational at the time. Yokohama was not too noisy, but it was quieter there. Whatever one may say, 3 of the 4 wheels are unbalanced, asking for up to 90g per wheel in total. I drove in for a re-balance after 2500 km, but little had changed. All the wheels started to jump slightly, like an egg, but this is not a problem when accelerating to 170 km/h. The sidewalls are really supple, and at first I pumped up the passport 2.4 because it felt too supple. Totaled to 2.6 and was very camphor during the entire season. I recently put on a winter Michelin, which made the passport 2.4 (using the same pressure gauge) very difficult. It improved to bleed to 2.2, but the tigar falls short of comfort, although raising one issue. The rubber is often worth its price; I paid 5700 for each piece. It was even 500 cheaper than the cheapest China at the time.

Pros
  • good traction when braking and starting
Cons
  • 18s are not especially quiet in 235/55.
