Just what your 2010 minivan needs to last longer
The plastic Y-parts on my 2010 minivan (3.8 liter engine) have not failed yet. I have found that the original Y's are made from Nylon 66 which has a shorter life than desired. Mistakes at 60,000 miles are common, but I've had 65,000. Look on YouTube, there are many videos on this topic. So since I was changing the coolant anyway, I bought this Y-hose set, mainly because the plastic is now aluminum and doesn't wear out. hooked up and bought this complete build. It was easy to install. There appear to be other separate Y models, but for unknown reasons they are not recommended for the 2010 model. Using individual Ys (about $24 each) and noting that they were only recommended for 2008 and 2009 didn't seem like a wise option. Maybe they could be adjusted. ?
