Review on πŸ““ Bee Paper Company BEE-20005 Creative Marker Sketchbook, 8-1/2" x 11 by Amber Perez

Feel indulgent with this watercolor beginner

Label says: 100% cotton, cold pressed, 140 lbs. The front back cover is thick chipboard with a piece of waxed paper to protect the first and last page. I like the tooth, the size and the perforation to tear off the page. I don't think this paper is intended for professional artists selling art. For me, the 30-page version is less intimidating. I get to practice the technique with Phoenix watercolor paper (much cheaper than Bee Paper) for two weeks before researching what is a good way to track my progress over the course of a year. One more note. The paper size on the envelope label is actually listed as 8 x 5.5 (referring to the torn perforation line). However, I measured it and it is indeed 8x5.25. I also bought a mixed media sketchbook of the same size (50 pages). The page is definitely thinner (lighter weight) since it's the same thickness as a 30-page watercolor album. Also, each side has a column that has a different texture (smoother). I wonder if this is a factory wedding? As it is non-commercial I would not return this album. After all, Bee Paper products are made in the USA. I am happy to support in-house production.
