Edit after prolonged use: I'm getting by with audio streaming now. 2 consecutive days of 2 hours of music, works without problems. I suspect there was some glitches in the early days, although I don't know what was removed from the environment to fix it. Review stars have been updated to reflect due satisfaction Customer service contacted me regarding my first negative review and offered me a refund or replacement. I declined both but agreed to try longer tests. First review, removing comments about audio issues: Everything works fine in terms of setup and initial connection. I use bluetooth headphones for a wall mounted candy bar over a treadmill. I added an extension so the adapter is in line of sight with my headphones. Headphones are less than 3 feet from the adapter. I have been using this treadmill for almost 3 years, these headphones are for 1. Previously connected to tablets or phones in the same place as a new computer. This adapter is probably suitable for synchronizing data to/from a BT device. : Works great for headphones and real-time audio streaming. Initially there were issues with buffering, skipping and distortion, but I think it was my environment. Note that if you have audio issues, the adapter may be more prone to interference than a phone or tablet. In this case, turn off other BT devices or move electronic interference (microwave, fluorescent lights) between the adapter and your audio device and see if the problem is resolved.
