Review on Safavieh Braided Collection Handmade Reversible by Jason Ampongan

I bought 2 of these because despite the warnings I wanted a washable rug (my dogs are jerks). I've washed them individually and no side effects although I can see some stitches are coming apart - it's not the end of the world and if it's really bad I can sew the braids back. At $50 each, it's not a huge investment if they go broke. The base color "ivory" is rather matt, I would like it to be lighter. As I had 2 I was able to compare them and whilst one had a fairly even color distribution the other had noticeably more red. Next time I wash them I might try adding some bleach or color remover. I hope to switch to nicer mats once my dogs are more reliable, but in the meantime they will probably come loose.
