This is a very well made gas cylinder. We've bought three of these and three fake Chinese Walmarts and there's just nothing to compare them to. These cans are much stronger, stronger and heavier. For those in doubt, check out the Wavian website and they have video of customers driving over a can in their SUV and throwing it down a hill. Not only did it almost not crumple the glass, it hadn't leaked yet and was still fully functional. The only downside is the high cost. These cans are easily three times more expensive than plastic or steel counterfeits. For those who plan to use the jar infrequently, there are definitely better prices out there. However, if, like us, you prefer to only buy something once and value particularly high-quality products, this tin is just right for you. It will most likely outlive most people and possibly their children. Also, consider this a great investment for ranches, farms, outdoor enthusiasts, and off-road enthusiasts. Another positive aspect of these jars is that you can easily stack them inside each other, while you really can't use plastic jars (although you can use Chinese fakes). I agree with other reviewers that the compatible spout isn't very good. but they're good at EVERYTHING, so I don't blame Wavian. Simply purchase a flexible spout as part of your initial investment.
