PrestaCycle 5 Nm TorqueKey - perfect for bike mounts

PRO: -> 2.4% accuracy. - (Tested with HIOS HP100 Digital Torque Meter) -> Flawless feedback when reaching torque - (You won't miss it!) -> Torque value for different units of measurement is stamped on the top of the handle. - (Nm, kg-cm, in-lb, oz-ft)->Can be used counter-clockwise [No torque limit] - (Loosen attachment)->Magnetic tip - (Holds bits in place)->No recalibration Required -> Value - (Good quality tool at an affordable price) CONS: -> Can't think of anything. WHY I BOUGHT IT: For a specific bike application such as tightening handlebar clamps, seat posts, seat bolts and any other component that would normally require 5Nm. It is compact, portable and more convenient than beam or click type torque wrenches. Although it does not limit counter-clockwise torque, this tool can also be used to loosen fasteners. I wouldn't use it to loosen threadlocked fasteners. QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: There is no country of manufacture information on the instrument but it is safe to say it was not made in the USA. Otherwise it would have been stamped. The build quality and materials used seem decent. The tool doesn't feel fragile or anything that breaks the first time you use it. ACCURACY: Very accurate! The average torque obtained from five readings from a calibrated HIOS HP100 digital torque meter was 5.12 Nm. This corresponds to an error of 2.4%, which is within the 10% specification. LIFESPAN: According to the manufacturer's website, this tool is rated for a torque accuracy lifespan of up to 5,000 clicks. The specs also mentioned that "when the logo wears out, the tooling is obsolete". Personally, I would go for the "worn logo" to indicate a product's end of life. Somehow I don't think I can track when I hit 5000 clicks. DO I RECOMMEND THIS 5NM PRE-CYCLE TORQUE WRENCH? Yes absolutely! It's compact, portable, accurate and ideal for bike mounts that typically require 5Nm of torque.
