So far I haven't had any problems with the scanner. I used it almost every day for the first 2 weeks I had it. It only took me 2-3 practice scans to get the hang of using it. I've used it to catalog many magazine recipes and newspaper clippings to finally get rid of (over 100). As other reviewers have mentioned, scanning next to the book/magazine binding is a little tricky, but I just flipped the scanner over and scanned either towards or away from the binding and I was able to get what I needed. (Remember, you can always rotate the image in whatever program you're viewing it with.) Scan quality is decent at both low and high dpi. The quality is good for both black and white and color scans. I've had two faint lines on a lot of scans, so they definitely wouldn't be desirable if you're trying to scan family photos or anything like that. I believe the lines are where a pair of rollers sit or part at one edge of the scanner. They're far enough apart that I can probably scan smaller images without losing quality. I only had to replace the batteries once and even left them on between scans. The transfer via USB was quite easy and fast. All in all I find it very helpful! It's definitely worth the β¬39.99 I paid for it!
