Doesn't work with computers and accessories

I was glad to find this because this USB-C connector is a new concept. However, it doesn't fully work on my MacBook Pro. Once connected, the mouse on the computer freezes every few seconds. This happens in every program. Nothing even needs to be connected to the device. Also the power cord does not work through the device which was the main reason for the purchase. I am returning the item for a refund. Unfortunately they don't cover shipping costs (to Italy) and shipping costs me $30. Basically I spent $30 trying a product that didn't work. Dissatisfied.
