Quick, easy and safe
First, if you think it's time to replace your wired smoke alarms, consider replacing them with alarms of the same brand that you already have. This is because different brands have different plug configurations and you will either need this product or need to connect new smoke alarms to your existing wiring system if the brands are different. However, this product makes it very easy to install a new detector from another brand without risking electrocution. an important consideration for me. I replaced a Firex 120-1072C with a First Alert smoke/carbon monoxide alarm and it only took me a few seconds to get the job done. This is a great buy for anyone transitioning from Firex detectors to First Alert detectors!
