I have to admit that this sharpener far exceeded my expectations, not only does it sharpen kitchen knives really well, it also sharpens scissors like they're new! I am pleased that this is a multifunctional sharpener for knives (except serrated) and scissors. My advice when sharpening scissors is to always insert and slide them with the big ear of the handle down and the smaller ear of the handle up. Back and forth without too much pressure, practice a little with this sharpener and you'll be happy too!
