WARNING/DANGER: Stuck, Sticky or Not Working Turn Signals!

I bought this for a 1996 Chevy Blazer LS 4 door. I live in Pennsylvania and the car must have working four way turn signals to pass MOT and my old one got stuck and stopped working. What pisses me off is that the car had no problems until I had to start messing around with that stupid four position turn signal/alarm switch. I'd rather have broken four directions than the busted turn signals that are still the result of my fiddling with this thing. -02 Different types of Chevy S-10/Blazer models with this switch. On my Blazer model, none of the turn signals work unless a kill switch is installed (very stupid design by the engineers who made it). And I broke the old one trying to remove it so I had to look for a new one. I found this one and despite the page saying "doesn't quite fit" I gritted my teeth and bought it anyway as others here have commented that it said the same for their vehicles. At first I thought I installed it and the problem was solved. However, during testing I noticed that the four buttons sometimes got stuck in the on position, but I was able to press them multiple times to make them "turn off" and figured my problems ended there. I was wrong. Driving to Lowes one day, I noticed my right turn signal was sticking even though my multi-function switch was in neutral. My immediate thought was that the problem was with the kill switch; after switching on/off several times I got the right signal to stop blinking and the blinkers worked properly again. The problems only got worse when that signal got stuck. Finally, tonight, as I pulled out at 1:00 am on black roads, my turn signal at the stop sign didn't work. Then I didn't want to work on the track, drove home, meanwhile a truck driver was chasing me. A great way to cause an accident or get fined for fracking! Result; this thing doesn't work for me. I parked it in the driveway tonight and played around with it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, after using the right signal from time to time, the right turn signal is stuck in the "on" position and it is very difficult to turn it off, I have to switch four ways to turn it on to get . works fine again. I've noticed that when I wiggle it, sometimes the right signal pops up on its own. Rough bumps on Pennsylvania roads don't help. My advice; If you're having trouble with four ways, you can *try* this switch first to save money. It's only $10. BUT. Be aware that this can cause serious problems for you on the road and put you in danger if your turn signals do not want to work properly. Test it thoroughly before heading onto a busy road. Check your signals carefully, shake them and make sure they don't cause you any trouble in traffic. As for my blazer, I've run out of options. I am about to purchase a new multifunction switch with a pre-installed kill switch. I don't trust the thing at all, I can't drive with defective indicators. Maybe it's a different size, it's accurate and looks the same as my old one, but it's NOT working.
