Easy to Use and Set Up Powerline

For those who have never used it, Powerline is an easy to use and set up method of extending and adding an Ethernet cable. Just plug one into an outlet near your router, connect the router's output to a power line, and you're good to go. Add another power cord to the outlet where you need a Category 5 or 6 cord and plug it in. Two power lines communicate with each other, making a connection and sending data. A few caveats. The power line must be on. similar system. If you have two different circuit boards in your basement, the powerline adapters may not be able to communicate. If there are additional circuits at the central circuit location, they may not be communicating. In my case I had two boards and a generator adapter lead and had no problems. Also, the transmission rate is much slower than that of a beam signal. Many people find that the signal speed changes so much that they don't have enough high speed data to run a 4k TV. In my case, the base signal from the router is about 250 MPS. The single power is over 100MPS. more than enough to run any system. But that can be a problem. For some people this is an easy and convenient way to connect a camera (they have some with POE) or a simple underused computer or server. For me easy to use and satisfied with the product.
