These rubber end caps are designed to protect your paint when using a stabilizer on your stairs. from cutting rubber. To install, I inserted the arcuate inserts and secured them with a strip of tape. Then I put a few drops of liquid soap on the inside of the rubber caps so they slide easily over the tape and aluminum. The soap evaporates and the caps stay firmly in place.
