Like the original

The original seals on my ladder stabilizer lasted a few years and dried out. The new ones are the same as the old ones. They come with aluminum inserts on the ends of the stabilizer bar. In my case, these were not needed - the old ones were not lost. I wish only the caps were sold separately - I would have a spare set on hand if they weren't so expensive.

Protect your building materials Paint

These rubber end caps protect your paint when using a stabilizer on your stairs. through rubber. To install, I inserted the arcuate inserts and secured them with a strip of tape. Then I put a few drops of liquid soap on the inside of the rubber caps so they slide easily over the tape and aluminum. The soap evaporates and the caps stay firmly in place.

Much better than what was in my original Werner confrontation!

My original shock absorbers have worn down through the rubber surface (metal will cut into rubber with time and use and eventually cut through) and had to be scrapped. These new ones have a metal insert that protects the rack's square metal surface from cutting into the rubber. They will probably last a few years longer than the old, original ones. The rubber used on these replacement parts feels very durable and has excellent grip to secure your ladder to a vertical surface. I've had a few…

Too bad I didn't need them but I'm glad they are available

When I first received my Werner AC78 Quickclick I decided to stick the end caps on because it was so was obvious they could lose her. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to do this before I lost one of the metal end caps, and in half a day of roofing without it, I blew a hole in the rubber end cap. And of course there is no way to buy just one piece, you have to buy the whole set. These are the same parts that come with the stabilizer bar. So if you lose the original part or break the rubber cap…

good rubber stoppers

item arrived on time and in good condition. They fit well with my existing ladder supports and I haven't had any issues with them wearing out or breaking too easily. I use them on racks on 28 and 24 foot ladders. Mainly on brick and permanent plank siding. I don't regularly carry the ladder up the wall, so they don't have to deal with a lot of friction issues.

  • inspire confidence
Cons
  • so far so good

Not like before

Disappointed in Werner. They used to be very hard rubber and we were very durable, but now they use soft, soft rubber that doesn't look or feel durable at all! It's like they want them to wear out faster so they can sell more. They don't fit well due to their elasticity so I had to tape the bar off my hands with sports tape. Bring back old Werner.
