The Micro Center is an American computer retail store headquartered in Hilliard, Ohio, with the former Micro Center in Columbus, Ohio, in 1979 with a $ 35,000 investment by two former Radio Shack employees, John Baker and Founded by Bill Bayne. The first Micro Central store is 900 sq ft (84 m from Lane 2 Mall) Upper Arlington, Ohio. The store has benefited from its proximity to Ohio State University and the Battelle Memorial Institute, which provides a large customer base and a source of computer literate vendors. [9] The first year target was $ 30 million and grossed $ 29.9 million. In 2009, the Micro Center launched the "18-Minute Pickup" service, where customers who order goods on their website can get it from the store in 18 minutes. The stores have an area of 60,000 square meters (5600 m 2) and hold approximately 36,000 products in 700 categories, including major brand names and Micro Center’s own brands. Micro Center Apple has acquired units and services and support in every store since 1982, and weekly prices since 2007 include industry-class "Information Theaters", "Information Bars" and "Building Your Computer".
