Very light weight. I had an old heavy hose so I'm not used to it but I like it. Vacuuming is much easier with this new hose. I'm just really nervous because I can't help but wonder how long this is going to take to be honest. Make sure the hose is properly attached with the pins and works well with the switch. Otherwise it doesn't work. It's not that important. I LOVE having a new switch! To be honest I am so happy with this purchase I made. Take this hose and you will be happy. I looked and looked before deciding on this one. I have an old Kenmore and it fits perfectly.
