These are poor quality products from Taiwan. We bought 4 of these for the new MacBooks we bought a few months ago and so far 3 of them have failed. Issues we are facing: Power not coming from the power cord through the adapter to the computer (no charging situation). The power cord perfectly charges the Mac when the adapter is unplugged. When using an adapter with an HDMI display, Ethernet cable, USB keyboard and mouse, the keyboard and mouse combination is very slow and sometimes freezes completely. Replacing the USB stick does not help.
