I installed this on my 2004 Neon R/T which originally had an 85 amp alternator, this alternator is 120 amp and also has a slightly smaller pulley size than the original which is why will help provide enough idle current to keep your electrical system from working when you have many things on (AC, windshield wipers, etc.). This is a direct upgrade/upgrade for the 2nd generation Neon. The only Neon 2.0 engine that originally had a 120 amp alternator is the 2005 sxt model.
