Review on Hillman Fasteners 48419 High-Quality Screw Set by Michael Welborn

In 2018 I gave these screws 5 stars. About 10 months after installation, I noticed several boards on my new deck were warped. I've tried removing the screws to replace the boards with little success. Of the 72 or so screws I tried to remove, only 9 came out in one piece. The remaining 63 screws broke off and half remained stuck to the joists, making removing the boards a nightmare. We had to use a heavy pry bar to remove each board. My entire 25 x 18 deck needs to be replaced. I emailed Hillman with the photos but they never acknowledged or responded to my email. I have a feeling that all 5 star reviewers might change their minds trying to undo the screws after a year.
