Order this auger bit so I don't have to fiddle with a gas drill and don't have money for an expensive auger bit. My first hole, which he tore right through, was very excited. I hit 10 more holes at the same speed through 12 inches of ice in seconds. Drive an hour to fish another lake, get there and walk 3/4 of the ice and he stopped. The blades snapped at both ends. Of course. Not very excited anymore. Getting this will get you extra blades, but overall a good buy. When purchasing a pond I would recommend replacement blades
