Review on 🚙 JE-17749 Jeep Starter Replacement by TYC by Peter Parks

My 2000 Jeep Wrangler wouldn't start when I turned the key. TJ Series Wranglers are notorious for ignition switch problems, so the first thing I tried to do was fix that problem. I connected a voltmeter to the starter control wire (the smaller of the two wires that goes to the starter) and saw that it reads 12 volts when the key is turned to start. This fixed all the wiring issues so I ordered this starter from Revain. It was easy to assemble and fit perfectly. After installation, it started on the first try. I drove the jeep to work, to the grocery store - everything was fine. Then after 2-3 days it didn't start the first time. It never stopped me anywhere, but it's annoying (and not normal) when you have to turn the key 12 times before it starts. I sent this starter back to replace based on the good reviews. I really think I've gone bad - numbers. So I can't give a rating other than 1 at the moment. I'll update this review once the replacement is installed and I'll see how this one performs. UPDATE: After installing a second launcher, I'm happy to report that it works every time the first time - until now! So I'm going to give it a 4 now (I can't give it a 5 - it made me do this job twice). I just hope his excellent work continues!
