On April 25, 2018, JP Morgan made a gigantic purchase of US $ 880 million, from its investments and large profits obtained from the Argentine government headed by Macri.
It is difficult to know if it was a betrayal of its partners (the economy ministry and the BCRA had a large presence of former employees of the firm).
This financial movement meant an SCANDAL profit for JP Morgan and it meant a very heavy loss to the country. This fact was known to be under investigation to determine if there was any type of crime, which allowed excessive profits to the company to the detriment of the Argentine state.
The Central Bank ended up destroying the savings of small and medium investors in LEBAC, while benefiting the large international banks, among which JP Morgan stands out.
