I ordered this to drill through 1/4 inch low carbon steel bar, have destroyed several drill bits cutting 7/8 holes. I would get maybe 3 holes drilled before destroying the bit.I drilled or cut 5 holes using the same drill press and speed. Cut like I wanted, like cutting butter, so seldom do you get a tool that works as well as it should. I used a cutting fluid just like I did with the drill bits.I have been using this hole saw for a while now and have cut about 50 holes in 1/4 and 3/8 mild steel with out a problem using a drill press and slow speed. I do not use cutting fluid as the tool does not heat up much, very happy with the tool.I would recommend this tool.Just cut ten new holes works like a dream.
