Very robust, screwable. My 2006 Wrangler requires no drilling or modification. The tire carrier sticks out about 5 inches more than the OEM, which is great if you run 14-inch wide tires, but it was more than I would like. There are almost 4 inches between my 31x9.50 spare tire and the tailgate. I had to get an extension for my hitch receiver so the latch on the trailer tongue wouldn't hit the replacement part when attaching it. However, the design is superb and easy to install.
