I have a lot of keys for things in the house. For example tractors, trailer locks, carport keys, ATVs and additional vehicle keys. Many are grouped in a circle. I chose the Barska-36 key safe precisely because it is thick enough that I can hang a bunch of keys and still close the door (some other models are only designed for single keys). I also wanted a box where I could hang any key or bunch of keys on the hooks. Here's a tip: when choosing a key safe, buy a box that can store TWICE as many keys as you expect. This way you have the extra space you need for the inevitable key fobs (the key ring takes up 4 spaces. An extra space under the hook it hangs on and 2 holes for mirrors when the door is closed). In retrospect I would have preferred NOT to lock the safe. I never use it. Anyway, anyone with a butter knife can open it. But if it had to be locked up, it wouldn't just let an honest person in. In my investigation, none of these "safes" with keys would stop a thief. They're all made of very thin metal, like tin cans. You need a whole different league of key vaults to protect yourself from hacking. This is a well-made safe for my organizational needs. It lasts a lifetime in residential areas. I am happy with this safe.
