I've used this for "zoodles" (zucchini noodles) and it worked great. I didn't use a cap, instead holding the zucchini in my hand as I cut it. It is very easy to use and works like a manual pencil sharpener. I'm a safety expert and haven't seen any safety issues with the blade design - I suppose you could cut yourself, but in normal use this would be difficult. It was easy to clean with the included brush. The only problem is that the instructions were clearly written by someone who doesn't speak English as a first language - they didn't make any sense at all, to the point where it was quite funny and we laughed about it! However, you don't need any instructions to make it work. For this price you can't go wrong!
