We bought two of these for our two labradors who sleep outside in their igloo kennels. They are aging and arthritic and uncomfortable indoors in cold weather. These pads seem to do a good job of keeping them warm in kennels. The description said the cases were sold separately but we had both in the kit which was a pleasant surprise. I hope they last all winter and many more. several months in use. As another reviewer reported, they look like they collapsed under the weight of the dogs. My Labradors are medium sized dogs so I expect a plus size pillow to support their weight. Not at all the quality I expected for what I paid. They have a one year guarantee. I'll contact the manufacturer and see if they replace them, but unless they change the materials used I don't expect the replacement to last longer. The hard plastic used is similar to the plastic pallet that comes with many wire dog cages, which also ruptured within a year of purchase. cracked pads at my expense, they sent me two replacement pads. Unfortunately, one of the pads tears at the edges after just a few weeks. I'm not sure how any manufacturer can claim that they are "chew-resistant" when they break under the weight of a mid-sized lab. I would definitely not recommend using them on large dogs. Maybe a small dog or cat won't make them crack.
