Review on Denon DCM 27 Changer Discontinued Manufacturer by Tiffany Villavicencio

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Is it Denon or a Chinese clone?

The sound is really good, but as a previous reviewer said, it only works well for simple sequential disc playback. In random mode, it takes an infinite amount of time before the next track or CD is started. In addition, data carriers are not always recognized. I've tried several originals in pristine condition (no fingerprints or scratches) and some of them don't show up in the playlist. The board is crazy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's a matter of luck. If you try to press the buttons in the player, it's even worse. It's easier to get an answer from the remote control. After a few months, the player will have a harder time recognizing discs. I download 5 and can only play 1 or 2. As I live in South America it is too expensive to send it back to the US and ask the seller or Revain to replace it. I prefer to call the local technician I use to repair thin audio and video systems to have them checked and repaired. This is the first time I've had any quality issues from Denon. I bought it trusting Denon and because it fits my Denon 7.1 AV receiver perfectly. I was wrong, looks good but doesn't work properly. Don't buy that expensive and useless CD changer. For the same or even less price you can get better quality couplers from other leading manufacturers.
