Review on Freud Dia Drawer Shank 99 240 by Dave Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I must be a router genius because this thing is so easy to dial!

Cuts through butter like a hot knife! I got one of these puppies while I was a foreman at a local rat race and I really liked him. To improve my own sanity, I went out and as soon as I found myself with a pile of maple to make a crate boat out of, I opened up the amazon and grabbed it! Pros: - Easy to set up, just take some leftovers the same thickness as your drawer sides and adjust the depth on a few fresh edges until you get a firm fit. I usually get it on the second or third try. The stop adjustment is easier and less critical at the front of the drawer, IMHO cuts perfectly! Use a backing plate at an angle on the rail to reduce blowout and avoid knotting, and use plywood or quartz wood to keep it sharp for a long time. Nice thick carbide that can be reground over and over again (only use the best sharpening services available!) Cons: - Some of the paint was chipped off and everything else was smudged - Damn rings on my cutter are either too small or too big and I'm starting to feel like Goldilocks.
