Review on Enhance Vehicle Performance with the MOOG RK620380 Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly by Emilio Wallace

Faulty Moog product

I fitted the part and found that it does not absorb grease. I called Moog and this guy called to find out why and the manufacturer was known to have manufacturing tolerances that were too tight resulting in the ball being too tight for grease to get from the ball and bushing into the Boot area could reach. They said it's not a safety issue and over time the socket will wear down enough for the grease to seep through. Since it was installed I will not remove it and let it wear. No more Moog "R" series for me. Moog doesn't make them. I will only buy the Problem Solving series or another brand in the future. I installed both lower arms on the R Series and upper arms on the Problem Solver Series. Both lower arms do not absorb fat even under extreme pressure and both upper arms are properly lubricated.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Clarity
