We live in South Carolina so ice and snow aren't a big concern for us. What we have is a very rich spring pollen season. My wife has allergies and the pollen irritates her. Our car is parked 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is covered in pollen during the spring pollen season. When she gets in the car and turns on the air, all the pollen that collects in the air intake on the hood flies in her face. In the spring season we put this overlay on the windshield. Its lower damper completely closes the air intake. When she gets into the car, she rips off the upholstery and all the pollen with it. Its design keeps it safe in the car and handles pollen very well.
