Perfect fit for my 2009 Mazda 6 2.5L engine and the price was cheaper than my local auto parts store. I know they switched mid year and some of the 2009 Mazdas have a regular canister type oil filter and some have a cartridge type like mine. Just check before ordering. I definitely recommend this product. PS The wrench size for the oil filter cover for my 2009 Mazda 6 was "74mm with 14 grooves". Before changing the oil, it was quite difficult for me to determine the size of the box wrench. I was shocked at the amount of conflicting information on the internet and that two different Mazda dealers had part numbers, but we can't tell the actual size. Hopefully this additional information will save some of you time and hassle.
