Review on Enhanced SEO: 3M 1080 CF12 / CFS12 Black Carbon Fiber 60x12 Vinyl Flex Wrap by Joshua Flame

I have an old Toughbook that I really like. The mouse pad eventually developed a small hole, and I was faced with an awkward dilemma - replace it or try to cover it up. New replacement mouse pads cost about $100 and require significant computer disassembly. I tried covering it with clear tape, which seemed to work, but was difficult to track (jerky mouse movements). I ordered Carbon 3M with low hopes. I peeled off the tape and cleaned the carpet. I then applied a large piece of 3M carbon fiber and gently pressed/cut it. The 3M carbon fiber stretches a bit and I carelessly tore the corner of the carbon fiber pad. I took the piece out and threw it away, there was no sticky residue left so it was good. I tried again, almost perfect. When the piece was removed for a third attempt at charm, the carbon fiber snapped into place perfectly. There were a few small air bubbles that wouldn't go away, but they were carefully pierced with a needle and the result was perfect. I then heated the patch with a hair dryer to set the adhesive in place. After a few days of use, the 3M carbon fiber still looks and performs well. Great solution with nice look (actually it looks "harder" than the original mouse pad). Highly recommended.
