Review on Aystkniet Black PETG 3D Printer Filament 1 by Andrew Aldana

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I don't normally use PLA, I can switch now

Ever since I bought the printer I've been told that PLA+ is just plain better. The cost difference is minimal, usually 1-2$ more, and the advantage is that the temperature resistance is higher, smoother and more durable. The weird thing is that when I typed this stuff I got the same results, but it actually looked better. I haven't seen if the thread looks like "silk" or anything like that, but as you can see in my video the prints are shiny and look really nice. Adhesion to the bed is excellent, sticks to it with ease and once the bed has reached around 40 degrees Celsius it magically detaches from the surface. I mentioned that I need to tune it, I said earlier that PLA+ has a higher operating temperature so I started with my stock 210/60 and immediately noticed the webbing. Realizing my mistake, I lowered the temp to 195/60 just because it's black. I think if I was printing in white or other colors I would use 200/60 and it would be fine. I was also apprehensive about getting filament spools from Revain because I really enjoy checking my PLA spool. For example, how even is it when wound on a spool to minimize the possibility of twisting. I'm glad this reel hasn't snapped yet and I've done four jobs on it for a total of about 11 hours. Comes in a nice shrink wrap and comes with this moisture pack to keep it dry. I am very happy with it.

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • Very expensive
