Great tool for auto work

Love this tool! The name itself is great and owning it gives you that added sense of power. I've used it a few times to remove pulleys on my car and truck. If you need to hold a rotating assembly in place, this is the tool for it. Using this tool can be a bit fiddly and sometimes requires more than 3 hands. The long handle provides extra leverage so the girl can feel powerful when helping you with the machine. The long handle also kept them from reaching into the dirty parts of the car. Maybe you were luckier in that regard, but for me it was an added benefit. One improvement I made was tying the rope to the ring at the end of the chain. Threading the chain around a pulley installed in a hard-to-reach spot can be a daunting task, but the addition of ropes made it easier to pull the chain through and then pull it through. The chain can damage surfaces if they are not protected. I found both systems to work well. If you are replacing belts or don't mind them working, cut the old belt so it can wrap around the pulley and both ends meet. I use tape to hold the tape in place while I wrap the chain. For one project I didn't want to change the belt and found 1 foot square rubber sheets about 1/16 inch thick at my local hardware store. This, got it assembled and was able to protect the pulley with it. It worked well and seems more versatile than using old straps, over 1 size fits all settings. I don't use this tool often, but when I do I'm so lucky to have it.
